Florist Directory Report – Fall 2011

From time to time we like to report on the various Florist Directories and Internet Yellow Pages sites that are relevant to florists. While many of these sites (but not all!) still count as citations for your local business listings, it’s becoming more and more questionable as to whether or not there is any traffic value from being listed in a directory.   1. I agree, in the past directories were very useful but with the recent Google updates I am not sure if they are required like they were in the past. I think having a good SEO plan and ranking well with the new Google places is more important than being listed in every directory.

  3. I can’t believe that Yellow Pages is at 0! It seems that everyone took a dive into the ocean! What could have happened to make all these directories go down and most to 0? I wonder how many of them were building links using some gray hat ways if not downright black hat? How many directories are buying links? It’s certain that not many of them did the right things.
