  • Hi Linda, thanks for thinking of me! I appreciate it. I am having a tough time right now and to top it off I burnt the way back of my throat (past the upper denture plate, which by the way goes so far back it gags you :( in the way back of your throat) when I tasted some mashed potatoes I was warming up in the microwave. Dummy me I couldn't think fast enough what to do when it happened. Finally I reached for a glass of water I had right in front of me on the kitchen counter. Anyway it is going to take me some time and the bottom dentures definitely are not fitting right and I can't keep them in my mouth it hurts too much. I know some people don't have any trouble at all but I knew if it was going to happen to someone, it would happen to me!!!

    Hey, Linda,

I haven't been very active on FC lately (that closed FB group is very distracting, since I'm on FB all day and they're just THERE), so, I got behind on the re-branding group. But I love what you've started & where you're going, and marvel that you have the energy to take this on. I've finally caught up on all the posts, but inspiration has not moved me to speak up.

It's cool that this is taking shape just as the Florist For Change group is pulling together. Our global consciousness seems to have everyone moving in the same direction. Would be awesome to make a difference in this industry, wouldn't it?

Anyway, I'll jump in confidently at some point, but I wanted you to know I'm in full support of what you and others are doing. Keep it up.

    Take care!

    Annette
Linda, can you help me? I have looked and looked & I can not find the place to enter in my url. I have been on my profile, edit my profile, looked all over, I just can not figure out. You said I need this listed & I know I do! Please help! Thanks, Carol
    Hi Linda

I am quite safe - while there was some flooding in my state last week it was 'up north' in a sparsely populated region. The big flood this week is in Queensland - the other side of the country. Karla (Geebung Florist) who used to be a member here is in that area though. I have sent her a message on Facebook but they have cut the power so won't know how she faired for a few days.

80% of the state is flooded including the capital - if it happend in a more heavily populated country like the US the death toll would be in the thousands if not millions.

    I appreciate your concern.

    Todd.
    Linda,
Did you notice we were on the same page of Florist Review? Loved your sock arrangement! It would be cute for Christmas, too. Wish I'd seen it sooner and I could've stolen the idea for a December special.
Hope you have a better end of the week than the beginning. Hang in, just 10 days to go! Helen
I'm freaking out over your flower vending machine. Just watched the youtube video. Do a lot of people use it? Does it have to be kept indoors like that or could it be outside? I would give anything for one of those. Are they expensive?
    Linda,
Forget the messages I've been sending you. I found another florist to help her, that is open on Sunday. So disregard.
But it would be nice to have your direct email and phone for cases such as this.
Mine is [email protected]; cell phone is 952-270-2717.
    Linda,
I don't have a phone number or email address for you. This is the only way I know how to reach you. I have an order for you, if you can do it.

I just got a call on my cell phone from someone who needs flowers for a funeral early Monday morning. Of course, every flower shop she is trying to reach is closed, and not open on Sunday.

She forgot to give me her Credit Card information; I'll keep trying to get it, or you can call her. Can you even do this?
Linda - I'm sorry that I missed you at Symposium! I saw Lori (Affairs to Remember) Monday, Tues, Wed, (sat with her, or near her through most of the programs).

Maybe we saw each other and didn't know it?

    Hi, Linda,
Sorry I couldn't stop to chat yesterday, but you were on your way to class anyway. How are things going? We're hanging in there, taking one day at a time. Really enjoyed the Marketing Summit at Cragun's last week. Learned a LOT!
I do have pictures, but It will be awhile, as I have serious jet lag, and a unco-operative G-I Tract. Can't do anything that takes thought!
:) Thanks Linda. I was walking in the woods last week and the snow was perfect for alien making. I honestly didn't make the face. I just rolled the snow added my glasses and a scarf and voila... a little snow alien.

I do enjoy much of winter.
