David... I too thought about this, both for my current site, and the new one, but I decided to forego offering "house accounts" online. Any of my current house account holders that shop online always use a CC.

I simply do not want to wait for the money, and people are used to paying online when they purchase already.

Just something to think about.

I have always offered it. Only a few use it. They are a valuable few. Most use credit cards anyhow. It's not much of an issue for me.

We have had several of our corporate accounts ask for this feature. A number of our business accounts shop on line and then call us to place the order. I would really like this option added. I noticed a few weeks ago that one of the college dept accounts stopped ordering, (worth thousands a year) I called them to see why they had stopped ordering from us. They said that they switched because they could not order online and use their account. I process credit cards off line so I told them to select credit card and and just enter their account # followed by C O L E, enter 0's for exp and cvv code. This works but I would like to offer house charge to all my accounts, and eventually if I switch credit card processor I will be back to square one if this is not added as an option.


Thanks for considering adding this option as I would not like to lose customers over a inconvenience/convenience issue.
