Jun Salinas, AIFD, representing the Tennessee State Florists Association won the coveted title of National Designer of the Year Saturday, Oct. 4.
The annual contest, administered by the National Alliance of Floral Associations and sponsored by Syndicate Sales and Teleflora, featured the winners of state and regional floral design competitions. The theme was “A Destination Wedding…Creating a Pinterest Board.” The competition, held at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island, Mich., coincided with a Destination Wedding showcase, so guests could watch the professional designers up close.
The winners received: $1000 first place, $300 second place, and $100 third place.
First Runner Up was Jackie Bockwitz, representing Minnesota State Florists Association. Second Runner Up was Diane Schulte CF, WMFM, representing Wisconsin & Upper Michigan Florists Association.
