The OG/Phony Florist/Order Pirate issue is one of high interest for many members. But Where to put the post?

Many (most?) show up under Wire Service. That's appropriate when we are talking about the Order Gathering actions of FTD/TF/1-800-FLOWERS. But it does NOT fit for issues revolving around Kays, Flowers sent today, Just flowers etc.

Would it make sense to have a SEPARATE category devoted solely for OG activities?

The fact that the wire services enable the order gatherers such as Kays, Weasley, FYF etc makes the subject pertinent to Wire Service Category threads. If the Wire Services had not implemented rebates which enabled the growth of the OG's hungry for the rebate, most would have no way or $$ driven way to get their orders filled without a credit card at 100% (or possibly 80%) with a florist who would take their order.

If the wire services continue to support the OG then real florist should not support those wire services.

The pirated orders all flow to shops through WSs so the posts have all been made in the WS forum, including the OG Registry.

There was once an exception - didn't Flowers with Gifted Elegance just fax orders out?

I vaguely remember getting one from them way back when.

Meola had is own 'wire service', the Preferred Florist Network, which BK'd owing local florists hundreds of thousands of dollars IIRC.
