Actually, Sarniaflowers.com is from a real shop in Sarnia. Tanya does a Hel l of a business on-line, and in store...I'm not certain but I think she still has two locations at least in Lambton County. She's my preferred shop in Sarnia.

I guess my point here is I don't think of her as an OG.

You, unfortunately, do not qualify for this list since you have your shop name on the top of the sites....

This list is for those that
a) don't have a shop at all or
b) use mutliple URL's AND obfuscate the actual name and location of the business

I'll start a thread that's titled FABULOUS MULTIPLE URL'S and you can be the first if you like! :wave:

I consider anyone who lists my town in THEIR web listing to be a gatherer. Others are "sloughers" who prey on the unsuspecting.
Anyone who advertises a specific area they do NOT physically serve is gathering from their site. PERIOD.
If you have the capability to gather to your site, so be it. When you take MY customer, beware.

Tanya is an OG in my opinion, here's why. She is selling, for example, FTD C1 etc below SRP and it APPEARS she didn't include any delivery so the orders would be WAY under valued. That is the problem I had with her last Christmas; C1 SRP 67.50 + del (if I recall correctly) and she sent 63.99 I think. She wasn't impressed when I told her she was the problem with the industry, sending undervalued orders and expecting some florist to be dumb enough to fill it or the florist filling it to value so the recipient didn't get what the sender ordered. I know nothing of her shop's work but I understand she is respected in the industry in Ontario but she has NO RESPECT here!!!!!!!!!!!!! She makes her online money by selling for less; she of course gets the 20% + rebate so she makes an average of 15.00 per order filled.

Notice how only one site actually contains a physical address. The rest are just pretending. Even if this business services those other cities, this is still internet spam, IMO, because they imply a physical location other than the actual one.

In regards to www.florist-directory.net and their listings of fictional sites in your town (as well as mine), I contacted MapQuest stating their maps had been bastardized by this web site. They have responded. Should be interesting to see what they can do. How about finding your town's listings and also emailing MapQuest about fictional shops shown on the MapQuest link
