While I know these LINKS had been put up before, I feel it's so important to put them up again.

Anyone out here who maintains their own website and does not know HOW TO ADD A LINK, feel free to POST and many of us will be more than happy to assist you.

Too many consumers have been lured and duped into believing that, some Yellow Page and Internet advertisers are a REAL FLORIST and they are right in your own Hometown. They use all sorts of tactics to include DISAPPEARING DISCOUNTS and in your face PAY TO POP UP ADS when you enter the keywords of FLOWERS or FLORIST and your CITY-STATE search criteria.

In fact, many are not and because of their deceitful appearance, the PHONIES try to make it VERY HARD FOR YOU TO FIND YOUR REAL LOCAL FLORIST.

Since (YOUR SHOP NAME) deplores the practices of these NON-LOCAL PHONIES, we're providing you with a link to a site which EXPOSES THESE THIEVES for who they really are. It's called

Hey Toto, how about posting a link on your website that says cut out all middlemen like ftd.con. I would rather offer customers online to buy direct from a florist so they get 100% and the florist doesn't have their hand tied and can fill at %100. I say you should post these two websites http://www.ilocalflorist.com/ and http://www.flowerpowernetwork.com on your website. Websites like these two will benefit our industry more than the ones you put.

And I'll post the floristdetectives link when they take my advice and add butterfieldblooms.con, Ftd. con, Teleflora.con, etc... as the BIGGEST OGs of all. I will NOT post a link on my website of another website that promotes FTD or Teleflora. What is wrong with you people? They compete against us, but yet you promote them? I'd be embarrassed to promote a business that competes with me or any brother or sister in my industry. Two reasons why this is bad business: 1. You give money to the one who stabs you in the back. (smart) 2. You slowly eliminate the small mom and pop shops.. and then complain about corporate take over in the USA. (proud of yourself now?)

I REALLY LIKE Mark and Mlou, and the detective site has a lot of GREAT info, but it needs to be more real and take a side... the side of the retail florist and not the corps.

Toto, I think your post is honorable to educate our customers about phonies, but I think if you were to post 2 links on your website that would help our industry, not the corps, would be the two I posted up top. yeah, so you don't make a few bucks by being the middleman ONLINE, but where is your heart? With the corps or with the retail shops?
 
And the ripoffreport site link is really a waste too because people aren't stupid. Every person who has ordered though a florist and had it wired out has had something go wrong. Maybe it wasn't your shop filling Toto, nor mine, but we know it happens over a 100 times a day.

If there was a way to allow the person who sent though a shop via a WS and wasn't happy, and let them post on the rip off report, just think how full it would be. Come on Toto, people aren't dumb, get real.

Webcams in the future will eliminate most the problems people have when ordering on the net and I'm sure that when the WS are ready to capitalize on it and florists are still shallow enough to be with a WS, will do well. And you think I am joking about webcams? I just spoke with another company of webcams and guess who they'd been talking to? Proflowers. Griff once spoke about 1800flowers and their kiosks, smart man. But guess who will beat them to this idea using webcams? My guess is PF. You guys in a big city think it is tough now? Hold on to your seat, you haven’t seen nuttin yet!

**About this off the subject thing. The above paragraph doesn't have anything to do with posting two links. It relates to what people would put on their website, so indirectly, it is on subject. it's not like I started talking about the ball game this weekend. How could I of posted my opinion above as another topic as a new thread without others going.. huh? - I want to respect the rules, please advise if I've messed up. If I haven’t messed up, I'll still be conscious of doing a better job on future posts of not letting my posts drift off subject.**

What an awesome site! 99.99999% of the stuff on there is great!

Here is what I dislike:

1. A link to FTD.com and TF

and

2. The lack of the link http://www.butterfieldblooms.com and TF's big OG http://www.floristexpress.net/?refcode=PFN


In NO way is this site in vain and I understand it is hard to make everyone happy. I think Mlou and Mark are for real, I just wanted to express how I felt. I have asked for butterfeildblooms to be listed on the site, ya know helping out the detectives and it was never added, that I know of.

I don't know of your experience, but WEE NEVER have a problem with our outgoings.

Of course, we also CHOOSE NOT TO CREATE PROBLEMS AT our point of sale!

And UNLIKE the 800-FLORAL and DOT.CONS, we keep all of our orders to OTHER REAL FLORISTS fairly GENERIC.

If my customer wants a SPECIALTY ITEM, they must place their order at least 48 hours in advance, or be prepared to accept what that florist has in their inventory same day.

Also, I price my customer into 2005 REAL DOLLARS versus 1985 SKIMMER WAMPUM for all outgoing wire orders.

Lastly, I will always CONTROL MY OWN CUSTOMER'S OUTGOING FLORAL ORDERS and stand by the QUALITY and $ERVICE they DEMAND and I EXPECT THEM TO PAY FOR.

Which is why, I will never add a link to my site which will enable MY CUSTOMERS to ELIMINATE MEE from ANY FLORAL ORDER PROCESS or our EARNED COMMISSIONS and $ERVICE CHARGES.

As to what FLORIST DETECTIVE choose to do, I think their first choice is to PROTECT THEMSELVES from any possible LITIGATION when it might involve the BIG LAST TWO.

Inc had A in court so many times that, they eventually caused A to remain IMPOTENT as it all revolved around, WHO HAD THE DEEPER POCKETS.

I understand this Toto, and it is easy for me to talk trash when I haven't had as many years as you to collect a lot of customers who rely on your services. As Ryan said, It takes all kinds. :)
