Gerych's to be Featured in New TNT TV Show "Wedding Day"

Gerych's of Fenton and Birmingham, Mich., will be showcased as part of the "Dream Team" in the upcoming Mark Burnett Production of "Wedding Day," airing on TNT this summer. The premier episode will feature Gerych's in Saginaw, Mich., on June 16 at 8:00 p.m.

TNT's "Wedding Day" gives deserving couples a helping hand to ensure the most important day of their lives is also the most magical. Each week on the show, celebrity event planner and food expert Alan Dunn ("For Better or Worse") and celebrity wedding producer and designer Diann Valentine (author of "Weddings Valentine Style") host as family, friends and community come together to create a dream wedding. Along the way on "Wedding Day," viewers will learn each couple's compelling story, from their first date to their wedding day.

Burnett and the production team reached out to hospitals, non-profits, school districts, universities, law enforcement agencies, fire departments and braches of the military to find loving couples who have dedicated their lives to helping others but for reasons beyond their control have not been able to tie the knot. They also scoured newspapers, blogs and Web sites for stories of engaged couples who, in the face of adversity, refused to give up hope of one day having a wedding. Their family and friends, the people who knew firsthand how much the couples deserved a special day, nominated many couples. All the vendors who participated in this episode did so pro-bono and all the staff from Gerych's also donated their time to this deserving couple. There were also some companies who helped Gerych's make this possible: Transflora, Image Projections and Band-Ayd Systems.

TNT's "Wedding Day" comes from producing giants Mark Burnett Productions and DreamWorks Television, with Mark Burnett ("Survivor"); DreamWorks' Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey ("Las Vegas," TNT's "Into the West"); and Janelle Fiorito ("Extreme Makeover: Home Edition") serving as executive producers.
