White composite lily advice needed

Have a white composite lily to make and after gluing it (I hate brown oasis glue), it looks like the glue is showing through the lilies (and it's burned the salal on the back too). Am not liking it at all and as a matter of fact may just wire hand tie white lilies in the a.m. to show the bride. It's a very informal home wedding (and a former employee's daughter).
Am I just in panic mode???

How bad can you see the mechanics??? Is it just you being super sensitive to flaws or is it really really bad...I have never had the cold glue look like it burned anything, but it does dry brownish....never had it bleed through though...can you post a pic...

Spray a light coat of flat white Design Master to the under-sides of the petals before you start. It gives the petals 'sizing' and helps conceal the glue.
