    Yes, Silverthorn isn't all that.
    It is really just a town to eat and lodge before you get to the ski resorts.
    I was amazed at all of the dead trees too.
    Evergreen is nothing like that.

    Wanna see snow?? Watch American Loggers on Discovery Channel....they're now hauling in winter in Maine! I know you guys get it bad but we get it all winter long. Like I said 100+ inches is normal for us and yes we get around in blizzards but we have small town roads well plowed and kept plowed. Glad I have it that way not like you guys have.... (so sorry you missed your competition - they should have postponed a week but as a former organizer of such things..sometimes you just can't reschedule) Hugs girl!!
