Yes, it is my first trip there - went with a friend who has vacationed there, and another friend who has not. Your area is very very similar to ours - barrier island, mixed with local & out of towners, growing (new schools) & changing, and a destination for the area weddings.
We didn't get to sight see as much, as we really were there on a reconaissance mission for the wedding show. We were HIGHLY impressed with the whole weekend. If you're not involved, and you want to grow your wedding business, I'd highly recommend it - the air of co-operation was wonderful, the event was very very well done. We came home with our heads spinning with ideas.
We have been planning a similar road show event (driving tour) for a while, which was why we went in the first place - it's been a tough plan, but the Chamber is (finally ) on board w/promotion of the area for dest. weddings, so we're going to keep pushing forward. A rising tide floats all boats, right? I want to be on that rise.
Well, I guess not! Saturday was so very busy, and we didn't get to stop at as many places as we wanted. But we certainly did drive around the area for the show - what a great community, so warm and friendly. Maybe another time we'll get to connect.

Yes Kansas City is where I observed your suggestions, not telling the designers what was right or wrong merely suggesting some options. This is how I find it easier to learn using this (what if)method. Please continue

Thanks for your comment. I am curious how you came to that conclusion about me being a good teacher. Did you by any chance go to the "Kansas City, Here We Come" site? I noticed that not many people had tried to help those designers out, so, I started posting so there work would not be in vain.
