  • (Hey-look over to the left and notice how many friends you have!)

Actually, I wanted to say everything that everyone below said, but I think now I'll just give you a great big Zen Hug. I'm sorry you've had a crappy week!
Shannon -- please, please, please, don't go. This forum needs you, a person who is so passionate and articulate about floristry. And, selfishly, I need that, too.
Hope you'll change your mind. This place needs all kinds of passion ... design, financial, technology...all kinds. I value your posts & contributions, and I know many others do, even more than me!
Shannon, I too wish you would rethink this....

It really doesn't matter how or why people think the way they do...In the beginning of your membership, I thought you were a bit showboaty and let you know that, but you have a whole lot of knowledge in this industry that is lost if you leave...I for one appreciate your posts, your sharing freely of knowledge and your designs, Wow are they fab....

I now realize that even though you are not a showboater as originally thought. Your posts were based purely in the confidence you possess in your profession. You can be wordy, but some of us are...You are not all biz, but many are not...You have a love of this industry and belong here. I am very glad I never hit the ignore button because I would have never learned who you are and what you had to contribute...
Shannon, You should rethink this. You are a valuable member here and many like your posts. You're a tough chickie and you can handle this. Don't quit when it gets hard and remember that many creative people enjoy your posts and design. Take care~Melissa
I will stay in touch, Shannon. And I'm quitting FC too. I have nothing of value to contribute. I think it's wrong for you to leave tho, based on one person's comment. You are super valuable to the group.

Hi Shannon, your work is beautiful design. I wish my square headed clients would allow me to do something more artistic. I'm afraid my head is becomming shaped like a ProFlowers box.
Shannon, your passion about this is almost ready to make me get emotional. They of course did not offer me compensation for anything. Just canned me. I feel the same way about the whole hire a good designer and get rid of them so there is no competition.
hi ! i see you were at my page..? i think.. i like your flowers...nice work!
    Shannon,
What stores did you work for when you managed grocery store floral depts?
    Sandy
Thanks for the compliments! Our stores are well known for our great holiday and seasonal displays. Two of our stores are in major tourist areas in Northern WI and get really busy with second home owners in the summer. Hoping this summer they are still buying!

The bouquets are my work for our bridal book. I really don't do too many weddings anymore, though. Unfortunately, I don't do a lot of design at all anymore. Lot's of administrative stuff. I still do stuff for certain customers and at holiday time which is fun! Most of the designers are better than me anyway!

I am the main buyer for our giftware/home decor. I also plan the themes and displays and do the merchandising to a certain extent. I have a colleague who concentrates on the merchandising. We usually do the major re-sets together.
I just had to view your page and put it over 3,999. I accidentally viewed it twice (clicked Back when I didn't mean to.. derrr), so it's 4,001 now.

    Hugs,
    Beth :~)
