Help---I want to do a clear glass vase with aqua gels for color--BUT I do not want to add water, so you can see the gels--can I empty the water just before delivery--will they live? Previously only used in containers without flowers Thanks

Bobbi,

This is one of the big drawbacks for this product ~ it looks great as long as there is not water. Just so you know, the aqua gels continuously absorb water from wherever they can get it ~ which means that if you don't have water in the vase, they will absorb it out of your flowers so only do it if the flowers don't need to live more than a few hours!

The option I've gone with when using them is to set a second vase inside and let the gel go between the two. That way the flowers have their water source and the gel shows up good.

I only use them for event work, they really are not a good water source for flowers for retail work. Perhaps something like a fuji mum or carnation might be ok, but I wouldn't put anything else in it for retail.
