Tired of being just a floral designer?

You too can increase your esteem to consumers and within the decorative arts community with a simple change of title: Botanical Decor Artist. :>

I caught the phrase while reading this news article about Katrina Parris where she discusses flowers for men at Valentine's Day.

I'm not yet ready to put it on a business card but think the phrase would work well to describe custom event and home design services - to the right target market.

A word of caution, it may be off-putting to the bargain shoppers looking for $19.95 roses. ;)

Would love to hear thoughts about this title/description. Anyone have another way to refer to floral designers? (Keep it nice. :tongue )

I love it! A whole new turn and flavour of what we do.

I especially like the aspect of elevating custom design to a new level of recognition. I can hear it now... "Yes, it was created just for me by my personal botanical designer".

Thanks for sharing. :)

The name seems to long, but is is a nice twist. I think of one of those talented people who create design with plants when I see that name. I've seen designers in SF take orchids and manipulate them into some cool plant designs.
