Cattleya orchid question

I have a summer bride who wants a bouquet of the hot pink (purple) cattleya orchids which I have never worked with.
My wholesaler sells them $10/stem.
How many blooms are there per stem?
I've searched the web and can't seem to find the answer.

When I buy them they come one bloom on a 4-6" stem, water-tubed. But they are direct from the grower, and only sold Jan/Feb/March or so...

I've never seen them come on a stem, although I've seen them on a plant. The $10 price tag is about right for ONE BLOOM but they are huge, I've used just one for BM and 3 for the bride along with interesting foliage and dendro cascades.

They are available year-round from Holland. I would ask the wholesaler what they mean by stem and make sure they get the order in. I hope you have not given the bride a quote yet.

No quote yet. I'm pushing myself up the learning curve through FC.
I'm just happy they are available year-round.
I'll ask my wholesaler what they mean by 'stem'.

They are almost always "one " bloom--very delicate--plan on a nice collar of foliaqe - I use a smaller leaf with a backbone if Israeli Ruscus

Bobbi- When you say delicate...do you mean visually? I'm assuming that the orchid is rather hardy...will not wilt out of water. Am I right?

They are WAY more delicate than a cymbidium--and in white bruise easily--you need care in handling and a lot of crowning glory!
