very early this morning, a very large arterial water main broke in the old Locke Street Villiage area, that houses, amongst other things, probably the largest concentration of ANTIQUE DEALERS, and ARTISAN dealers in Canada...and EVERYTHING is underwater for about 6 square blocks,and a full 2 blocks away, the MAIN BEER STORE on Dundurn Street, is fully flooded out along with ALL the surrounding businesses!!
Several flower shops are also under water,and the city has moved in a large contingent of older HIGH ARCH BUSES, to house people in the area, who have no power, or heat in this BITTER COLD!!
The roads, sidewalks, front lawns, house and shop entries are all freezing over, and if THAT happens, ALL the storm sewers will be blocked, and NO SERVICES will be able to cope!!
