I have a suggestion on the Blog. It was mentioned on another post that few florists participate. If most florists are like me, when I log onto Flower Chat, I go to the top header and click on "New Posts." Sometimes I even go to the main first page. No where on the top header or on the front page is there a "Blog" tab. So, it's obscurity I think is what keeps it from being actively used!?

Yes, good observation Frank. I am on the blog only because it was mentioned in a thread at first and i responded in that thread that I want to be included. I think I pm's or emailed my zips to mlou afterwards and voila! I was there. I've never seen an actual link or click here or anything like that either to join the blog.

Oh by the way Frank, George said to tell you hello and thanks for the kind words!

Perhaps this is a problem peculiar to me only. But I'd use it more if it would just work. Or was easier to use. Or I could figure out what I'm doing wrong.

The one time (I think) that I successfully posted, it kept giving me some kind of error message. So I kept trying to correct my error. And it posted me every time. Mary Lou cleaned it up and deleted the duplicate posts.

Since then, so far as I know, I've never successfully posted. I keep getting the same error messages. And it does NOT (so far as I know) accept the posts.

I haven't been back out of frustration.

What is a blog?

Uh... I don't even know what a blog is. I have heard the term used, especially in the media. I kinda thought maybe it was slang for 'forum'.

Blog is short for weblog. Think of the Blog as a journal or newsletter. Adding an article to an existing blog is called "blogging". Blogs include RSS feeds, archives and have become a major way of marketing on the internet. As a real florist FlowerChat member, you can be listed in the USA Directory or in the Canadian Directory. We will also help you post information to promote your shop.
