A Tour of Ecuadorian Flower Farms for FlowerChat Retail Florists
This is a private and exclusive tour for groups of 2-3 FlowerChat florists who want to see first hand how flowers are sustainably grown, harvested, graded and packed. This unique and relaxing floral holiday, rich in education, is hosted by Flowers For Kids director and flower grower Ramiro Peñaherrera and his wife Salomé.
Included in your stay is airport pick up and drop off, 6 night lodging with ALL breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. You will stay in a charming flat with WiFi and phone service to the US and Canada freely available. Accomodations include separate bedrooms with private bathrooms. The ground floor of this secure building has the best bakery and café in Quito.
On your first day you’ll have a tour of Colonial Quito and the Equator Monument. During your next three days you will visit four rose farms and two summer flower farms. You will meet farm owners and workers; see first hand how the floriculture industry has improved the quality of life for countless Ecuadorians. We can also arrange vists to any particular farm you would like to see. You will also tour flower stands, markets, and florists in Quito.
The last day of your stay can be personalized according to your wishes. You can chose where you would like to go: the Otavalo open air Indian market, Cotocachi leather market, Mindo Cloud Forest, Central Bank museum, Guayasamin art museum, Teleferico overlooking Quito. There is time for shopping and leisurely dining.
Ecuador is famous for its coffee, chocolate, and honey . Tastings will be scheduled for you. Flowers For Kids training included.

Saturday: Otavalo and Cotachi markets or other excursion . Return to Quito. Dinner at favorite restaurant. Free evening.
