Smart fellow, to research first!
Has your gf (girlfriend?) or her mom worked for a florist before? A lot of people have a passion for flowers and all things floral, without the understanding of what goes into actually running a working retail shop.

Where are they considering opening, and are they looking at retail, event only ..... etc etc?

Any professional design training yet?
