About Me: Floral design is a second career to fill my time after my children left for school. I started with making a couple of bouquets for friend's wedding and from there grew a business through word of mouth. Are you a home based florist or do you have a store front?

How long have you been in business?

You said you started by doing bouquets for a couple of friends weddings, have you ever worked in a flower shop?

About four years ago I worked part time at a local KaBloom shop in Atlanta to gain more experience and then opened my own two years ago when they were building their franchise community. Even though I now have a retail store, the event and wedding business is the main focus, but now I'm trying to add B2B as well.

How long has you retail store been operating?? Is it a flower store or something that ties in with event and bridal work??
 
Hi Lori,
I've been open for a little over two years now. We're a full-service flower shop, but the focus is on bringing in weddings and B2B business. We have some walk-in customers, but that has lessened because of the changing nature of the center I'm in. I have Teleflora and FTD, but am dropping FTD as of November and am considering dropping Teleflora based on what I have read in this forum.
