Is is just me or is anyone else concerned that none of the arrangements on Teleflora.com include a delivery charge?
It looks like every arrangements is just priced at it's SRP.

If you have a paid site, one recieves the service fee of 9.95. Less the 1.95 fee they charge for handling the order. Netting you 8$. Should be sufficent to cover the cost of del. All at 100$ dollars.
If not a paid site then I guess you may have an issue. But then your not havine the order beat for 27% either. On a 50$ order, that still represents a difference of 13.50$.
Nothings free... or perfect... Sometimes only a little better.

We get so few orders from TF.com to begin with that I don't see what the big deal is. I'm not refering to your post Gforal, I just mean over all with the TF.com website. The floristboard people made a huge fuss about it to. I think I have recieved 3 TF.com orders in the last 3 years. There are only two TF florists in the entire south half of the county that we service so I know that the other shop is not getting any more than we are. Do some shops really get a lot of orders from them?

the websites that Teleflora sets up with their florists has $5 added to the SRP to cover delivery automaticly.

Just take a look at the new Teleflora Co-op ads.
There is a big www.teleflora.com banner across the whole bottom. So ABC florist buys a co-op ad. One of ABC florists customers sees the ad and wants that item. The customer see's ABC florist's website and looks at the item $50. Hmm then looks at Teleflora.com and sees $44.95. Well it is cheaper at Teleflora.com so the customer gets it there. Not only does the customer get it there they also just pick the reccomended florist, a florist that NEVER EVEN HAD A CO-OP ad.
Is it fair to ask someone to deliver something without a delivery charge?

How do you list your prices on your website??
On ours, you see the price of the arrangement. Only AFTER choosing the arrangement and dealing with recipient info do you get to the nasties of delivery charges. And TF has a $9.95 delivery charge added on.
If a customer sees a higher price on my site it is because I sell for a higher price, NOT because of delivery charges.

Generally, the Teleflora-hosted sites do not include a delivery charge in the arrangement prices. (I suppose a shop could opt for it, however.) The delivery price is separate and set by each shop based on their own pricing structure...
If you see prices $5.00 higher than SRP, it may be the shop's decision to sell at a higher price.

Ain't we glad we didn't pay for coop advertising (if you did, sorry...) Who will the customer choose - your name in 10 point font with 50 other florists on the page or THEIR name in about 120 point font?
If I remember right, coop ads cost several hundred dollars - **** would I feel like a sucker now if I paid. The 20 million on advertising is this time going to keep people out of our shops, while sending orders I paid to get to my competitor. What an about face, huh?
