After two years I finally put up a blog on our website (yesterday) and today I read this! So........how do I create the blog the proper way?
As it stands, I have created it in eblogger-so its chezbloom.blogspot.com now, how do I get it to be like the cool Adam with: http://www.belvedereflowers.com/blog/
only htt://www.chezbloom.com/blog/??

Me head hurts now....and I was so proud just to put up the squatty litttle blog did yesterday! The wrong way...who knew??

We have our blog at flowers-insolita.com/blog.

I've created a sub-domain, blog.flowers-insolita.com to point to that directory, just as a matter of convenience.

I don't know whether it is good or bad for SEO. Maybe doesn't matter.

While Google has been doing more to balance behaviour between subdomains and subfolders, it's a better option to keep the blog in a subfolder so that domain trust and link diversity are transferred to the main domain to benefit your store.

www.inbloom.com/we-deliver-to-wisconsin is better than wisconsin-flower-delivery.inbloom.com

and

www.inbloom.com/local-charlotte-florist is better than www.charlottteinbloom.com as a microsite pointing back to www.inbloom.com.
