I have one wedding it's not very big and I'm kind of relieved. I have a full weekend with open houses and father's day. I had a distaster this morning when I went to pick up the flowers at the wholesaler, I ordered the white peony's with the dk pink edge. Didn't get them, they only had white and gave me some crap about end of the season and weather and so on. Then dendro's that I ordered were all smashed and bent. AND the spray roses were the wrong color, and the larkspur was old, all mushy in the middle. I was Just a nightmare.... SO I freaked out and blew a gasket, "which doesn't happen very often" they fixed everything, But all is well now, everything worked out. I don't know why they didn't do it right in the first place. It's days like this that make me wonder, WHY THE HECK DO I DO THIS....
I had another consultation yesterday, Im sooooo excited about this one. The bride is a doctor and she has NO budget. She wants to keep everything simple. Colors are black and white with a touch of silver. The whole time I was thinking OHHH Lots of lily's BUT MOB hates them so that's out. So orchids it is. She wants everything simple, modern, and classy. Im very excited. I don't get alot of "money is no object" weddings. Im thinking tall pilsner vases with about 20 stems of white dendros. Maybe some silver ting ting.... ( I love the stuff), with uplights. Then sprinkle crystals around the table on a mirrored base. Do you have any good ideas. I have to stay with all white flowers. She has ordered black table cloths.
