Every year The Twig group organizes and opens to the public an impressive collection of historic homes in Alexandria.

The purpose of this tour is not just to satisfy the curiosity of nosy neighbors, but to raise funds for their organization which is dedicated to providing financial aid, volunteer service, and support to Alexandria Hospital.

As a thank you to the homeowners, and a way of ensuring each house truly looks
its best, The Twig asks local flowers shops if they will donate a floral centerpiece to
the charity. This year we have the pleasure of providing something really special
for a great client of ours less then a block away on South Fairfax Street!

We went with a bold
sunflower and lemon yellow harvest look to compliment the homeowners Italian
heritage and taste and also echo the start of Fall!

Wheat and lemons bring an organic feel to these nature inspired designs.

As an unexpected detail, and a signature design element of our shop, each vase is wrapped in moss, giving an elegant but rustic feel to the formal dining room.

The 73rd annual tour looks to include a variety of different homes styles, and with
weather projected to be in the 80’s its going to be a great day for strolling the
streets of old town!
