I think the emphasis is on "article" rather than "industry."

Commentary forum used to be a place where poeple post a long serious opinion piece, just like OP'ed articles in a newspaper. Readers then rate it.

Many articles inevitably talked about our industry, but I think you can also post an article about your own shop, as long as it's a serious opinion piece, as opposed to questions, rants, jokes, etc.
