Does FTD, TF or 1800 charge YOU sales tax?

NOT to "derail" this thread...we are charged 13% HST tax,and it is paid on every line by line entry.......INCLUDING product for "resale".....

Does a sender of a wire order originating in and destination within Canada pay HST or is it as with TF within the US that apart from 2 (or 3) states, TF does not charge the sender any tax?

EVERY SINGLE transaction incurs the HST, and IF the sender, regardless of it's origins sends to Ontario (for instance) WE ARE responsible for deduction the value of the HST from each and every order!..it's ONLY IF we send OUT of Canada, that we are NOT required to charge tax on the product and delivery, ALTHOUGH IF we charge a " service/sending fee" we must charge tax on that portion!

I remember trying to get my husband to understand all that to program the cash register to do the right tax thing!

Seems to be structured along the same lines as VAT in Europe. Death and taxes -only things certain in life- and the latter certainly sucks while I imagine the former is no bowl of cherries either.

The point of all this is that TFTD800 seem to be picking and choosing what customers they charge sales tax.

If The Flower Hut (us) was to try that, we'd get hauled off in handcuffs!
