Here's a quick run-down of what's changed:
- Thread of the Week (TOTW):
Thread of the week allows members to vote on conversations that are worthy of highlighting to the rest of the membership. The count will be reset each Thursday, and the winning threads highlighted in the newsletter on Friday. You can vote on a thread by clicking the TOTW icon:
- Thank You:
The Thank You buttonlets you give a public thumbs up to post that you've found beneficial. This is different from the reputation system, which keeps an aggregate count of a member's popularity relative to business-related posts. Thank Yous are a public nod and can be given on any post.
- Blog Feed in Postbit:
You do have a blog, right? If so, you can add your RSS feed to your profile. This is accessed through this page in the User Control Panel. - Casino Cash:
Need to let loose? Gamble away some FlowerChat Casino Cash in our new Casino (featuring multi-player Texas Holdem). Casino Cash is earned through regular activity on FlowerChat. - Glossary:
Have you ever been frustrated with some of the acronyms used in FlowerChat? Stress no more! The FC Glossary provides user-editable definitions of popular terms. Any member can add new terms to the glossary as needed. For example: Are you a FWOAC? - Prefixes:
When creating a new thread, you have the option to give the thread a prefix to help other members quickly identify the type of post. For example, if you are posting a link to a useful article, use the Article: prefix. We are open to suggestions for more prefixes. With the incredible volume of posts on FlowerChat, we hope Prefixes will help members sort through the content more efficiently. - New Thread:
A classic case of making the easy easier – there is now a big New Thread button in the header. If you want to start a new conversation, but the thought of clicking into the forum first is holding you back, worry no more – just click the New Thread button, then select your forum.
