On my Strider site, I made a page with all the towns, zip codes and facilities I service, (there are a LOT) and starting the next day I've seen a marked increase in orders. Coincidence, I think not! I ask everyone how they found us and they say Google. Yay, thanks to all of you here who have such great suggestions.

nice job!!!!

take it even further now-
build a seperate hidden info page about each town and link it back to this main delivery areas page-

http://www.springcitydesign.com/press/36/Delivery-Areas

for example-
take the town Big Bend, and write a hidden info page(not visable) just about that town including all hospitals-funeral homes, etc in that town, along with photos of the funeral home or hospital or flowers on the info page- and then link it back to your delivery areas visible main info page-

It's not hard, just sounds confusing the way I explained it-
ALso- on your weddings info page- do same thing, create more info pages and link back to that-

Just keep going and going, one step at a time!

PM me if you need help ;)

Here is an examplle from my website too-
all the towns in blue & orange text have hidden info pages if you click on them-

Wow Robin! You changed the page, Google's spiders crawled your site and indexed it overnight just like that? Either you are really lucky or using some type web tool I need. SEO is my weakness.

Adam, you old floozy, won't the Google spiders figure out where you're doing and mark you down?

Daz, I've had content indexed and ranking within 16 minutes of publishing. It's not surpising that she saw some improvement overnight. It's also likely that the page helped to boost consumer confidence, driving up conversions.

Nothing wrong with what Adam's doing. It's a form of siloing that F20 sites naturally handle.

I "used" to silo...those hay bales seemed smaller and lighter in those days!!:eek:face

Robin, nice site and nice blog. Maybe Ryan can answer this. Would Robin's SEO efforts be better if she "converted" to a Wordpress Blog? Also, it would seem to be worthwhile to add a list of all the schools and churches the way Weasley does?

16 min? Cool. I have lots to learn. :) Thanks Ryan.

Adam - you just gave me a great idea - I found your reviews page - great place to drive happy customers to - I'd keep mine unlinked but when we get a rave review then I could point them there for a central place to launch reviews from.

I follow the leaders and I'm stealing that idea from you - tonight

Thanks!

Love your site... Question: Why are they called hidden pages if when you click on them the information is visible?

That is probably a dumb question but I really need to know the answer. There is an option to make the page visible or not? If I mark mine not visible, it really is not visible. I must be doing something wrong.

Robin, your site looks great! Thanks for the info on the listing, I am working on
mine.

"Hidden" pages that Adam's referring to are either second-tier pages or marked as "not visible" which means they don't appear in the navigation. They can be linked to, but aren't visible otherwise.

Joan like Ryan said, the hidden info pages do not show on your info page box, for example, if I had all my hidden pages marked as "visible" they would all show up on main info pages on site- and you would see a ton of town names listed and it would get way too busy and not look good IMO-

this way they only show up, when you go to my main delivery areas info page and actually click on it-

again I suck at explaining it, and so if you have questions feel free to call me anytime and I can walk you through it ;)

Okay, then how do you link it within your own site? Thankfully MasterJ called me and taught me how to link a website to a word but I forgot to ask about linking other pages within your site.

Example: I deliver to Charleston, Cross Lanes, Dunbar, etc. I want to sublist specific companies within "Charleston". I have created a "hidden page" for Charleston. How do I link this page to my main delivery visable page?

Im sure Ryan or Jim could answer better but-

You need to make that "hidden page" visible for a few minutes so you can then find it live on your website- then copy that page address from the address bar, and paste it on to your main info page....then go back in and make the page "hidden" again (not visible)

this way it shows up as a link on your main info page for delivery areas-hope that helps...

feel free to call me if you need a walk through on it ;)
