I have just started my own floral design company based in Staten Island. I specilize in small events and for the budget concious client. I hope to gain from membership a communication with others in my situation of starting a new business and to get advice from those more experienced.

Hi Rosabella... thank you for telling us a little about yourself.

There are more questions on the Intro page but we can cover that here. Do you have a website? How did you find Flowerchat? What is your business exactly and do you operate from a commercial space or from your home?

If you operate from home, do you have all the proper business licenses, pay all necessary taxes etc.

These questions aren't meant to be invasive, rather they are set in place to make sure our community maintains it's high professional integrity.

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. :)

I Do have a website - www.rosabellaflowers.com
It is under some construction still while I get all my photos up.
I specialize in event work, and have done 3 weddings and have 3 more booked for this summer. I am taking part in a couple of wedding expos around my area.
I have a studio in my basement at home which I am working in, I plan to get a rental studio in the next 18 months, depending on up-coming business. I am not interested at this point in owning a retail store.
I am a sole propriator, and have a a tax id.
I trained at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens......I have over 2 years experience working for floral designers.... I come from a visual arts background and went to art school.
I found flowerchat rhough a web search, I was looking for info on wholesalers and any feedback on ones in my area. I enjoy reading the forums here, it has been very useful thus far.
