Announcement What do you do with sleeves from plants and bouquets?

On the FlowerChat Facebook page, a fan suggested that florists team up with an eco-focused upcycler/recycler called Terracycle to reuse the sleeves from plants and bouquets. Would you be willing to save up and send in your old sleeves? What do you do with them now?

Our plant guys take them with them these days... never thought of the flower sleeves... probably would not send them back myself. But I have been seeing new bio-degradable ones coming through processing...

Boss: Any idea what the plant guys do with them? Do they recycle them? (Maybe they are sending them to a biz like Terracycle...)

My plant guys reuse the paper ones. Most of my plants come in paper sleeves... plastic, I don't know. I reuse the Poinsettia sleeves that are 1/2 plastic and 1/2 cotton...

Most of my plants come in plain brown or white sleeves...I re-use them. Bouq sleeves I put into the recycle bin or the heavier plastic sleeves I cut out to use in underwater vase arrs
