California Cut Flower Commission Seeks Rose Parade Volunteers

Want a New Year’s experience of a lifetime?

The California Cut Flower Commission wants you to serve as a farm ambassador during the annual Tournament of Roses.

Ambassadors interact with the public, answering questions they have about the floats, the flowers and the farmers who grew them and passing out CA Grown stickers and pins. It’s not a design position, “however, they are known to also get their hands dirty” helping with construction, said CCFC CEO Kasey Cronquist.

Ambassadors get a front row/backstage view of the country’s largest and most spectacular display of flowers. They also have an opportunity to educate consumers about flowers’ origins, their impact on the American economy, and their emotional benefits.

Ambassadors are needed to help with the CalPoly, MiracleGro and FTD floats.
