Bringing a bride’s vision to life is always a welcome challenge – and when that bride is one of us, the pressure is really on!

For Natalie’s wedding at The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, her vision was to combine organic, textural, coastal elements with petal-rich florals in saturated tones of coral, tangerine, pink, and green. For the Bridal bouquet, luscious Coral Charm peonies and ranunculus were the main focus, accompanied by sweet smelling gardenias (from her Mother’s bridal bouquet), ruffled gloriosa lilies, and striped phalaenopsis orchid blooms. Thistle (a nod to the Groom’s Scottish heritage), maidenhair fern, and succulents provided a textured juxtaposition to the soft florals and complemented the aqua and verdigris elements of the wedding. Delicate ribbons in lace and silk flowed from the bouquets, adding a dose of drama and femininity as they blew in the breeze. For the ceremony and reception, the coastal materials/spring florals fusion continued with the addition of manzanita branches, oyster shells, and giant fern fronds.

As we celebrated that evening, our exhaustion gave way to exuberance – the challenge was over and we had another happy “Enchanted” bride!
