It seems that every since the member of the day started that threads that were indicated as containing new posts yesterday, indicate NO new posts today and I did not go into that thread. Just an observation I thought you would be interested in.
Any one else notice this?

The "New Posts" flag has always been reset once you log out or are timed out. A post is "New" if it was made since the last time you logged in.

I never log out...
I simply either close the browser or move onto another site. When returning then I hit the "New Posts" button in the menu bar and then all new posts that have been made since I last hit the "Mark Posts Read" button in the "Quick Links" drop down menu are displayed.
This also eliminates the need to "Log In" every time you return to the site.
