it's HOAX...!!!
Subject: New virus ALERT ! undetected by Norton or McAfee

SORRY EVERYONE! This is doing the rounds so please act quickly !!!!!
A virus has been passed on to me. Even though I updated my Norton
yesterday my address book has in turn been infected. Obviously they do
not have it handled yet. Since you are in my address book there is a
chance that you will find it in your computer too.

I followed the instructions below and eradicated the virus easily.

The virus (called jdbgmgr.exe) is not detected by Norton or MacAfee
anti-virus system. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging
the
system. It is sent automatically by messenger and by the address book
whether
or not you send e.mails to your contacts.

How to check for the virus and to get rid of it.

1.Go to start, then go to the find or search option.
2.In the file/folders option, type the name: jdbgmgr.exe
3.Be sure you search your C-Drive and all the sub -folders and any other
drives you may have. ( Click on the box to include sub-folders )
4.Click, search or find now.
5.The virus has a grey teddy bear icon with the name jdgbmgr.exe DO NOT
OPEN
IT.
6.Go to Edit ( on the menu bar ) and choose "select all" to highlight
the
file without opening it.
7.Go to file ( on the menu bar ) and select DELETE. It will then go to
the
Recycle Bin.
8.Go to the Recycle Bin and DELETE there also.
9.IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS, you must contact all the people in your Address
Book, so that they can eradicate it in their own address books.

To do this:
1.Open a new e.mail message.
2.Click the icon of the address book next to the "to"
3.Highlight every name and add to "BCC"
4.Copy this message, enter subject and paste to e.mail and send.
REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO DO THIS VERY QUICKLY

THIS IS A HOAX MESSAGE!! that I received, and then when I checked, is NOT as stated...
DO NOT DELETE and files as stated above!!

Mike

For an excellent resource on computer virii and hoaxes, check out http://vil.mcafee.com

They have a comprehensive list of virii, trojans, worms, and fake warnings - Always check your facts against this list before you act in deleting anything because of a virus.

Virii...is that a word ? :)

Learn somthing new every day

I don't have any virii, but I'd like a shot anyway, please.
Sambucca would do nicely. Straight up.
