Private messenging

I've noticed that when you go to view "Who's Online" sometimes you can see who is private messenging who but sometimes it just says "Private messenging". Is there a setting in UserCP that I don't know about?

Thanks to whoever for answering this question. It really doesn't matter but for some reason I just gotta know! Mysteries intrigue me.
