on the serious side......it is with GREAT GRATITUDE that many of you have "earned" those green (and red) dots, and regardless of what you think, they ARE a definite asset to the serious posters on this board!!
I HAVE to tell you.....
In grade 9, french class, we had this wacky, professor like teacher, who posted Gold, Red, and Black stars (peel off type) beside ALL his student's names...each star representing the efforts being made by his students, and self grading by all his classes...we thought he was a weirdo, at first!!
At the end of the ONLY year in his class, it was amazing to see, the gradual self esteem build for unconscious students, and the decline in respect for the overconfident, and brazenly "superior" students.
In the end, almost ALL his students thanked him for making them "earn" their points for themselves, and from their respective peer groups!!
It's like that here......
