Valentine Colors

Do most of you still sell primarily pink and red for VD? I notice the WS web sites are almost exclusively pink and red. I hardly ever sell pink and red together for Valentine's Day. Lots of pink and lavender, lots of red roses, lots of mixed tulips and some all white arrangements. Just wondering if I'm in the minority.

I do a lot of red and purple. But one year, one of my featured designs had orange and hot pink in a lime green container. I also sell a LOT of other color roses like orange and yellow. The overwhelming color is still red though for me. I buy 25% color, 75% red.

Mine are primarily mixed colors. Lots of color roses. I try to buy something in every color, a lot of people go with their favorite flower or color. We probably maybe 20% of arrangements pinks and reds, 60%red roses the rest color. I've had customers comment that the red and pink is cheesy. I guess It just depends on your area.

I have good luck pushing mixed vases with a few red roses. I already have orders for yellow roses and lav. roses.

Here its mostly cut flowers like 99% of it will be cut flowers.

I will do up bunches in all colours. some shades of pink or shades of yellow some mixed.. some all gerbera

and yes i will try and up sell arranging them in a vase! and YES i will have arrangements made up for th grab and goes.

I won't be busy until i start making the mixed bunches up and the walk in won't start until about 2pm on the 14th. Deliveries.. well we'll see but in the past they have been very low. Its a cash and carry holiday here.
