Zinnias in foam

I've used them in foam, but they are very short lived (even in open water) and only done them for events the day before... we never cooler them either. I get them from a local grower, and he does not cooler them either.
 
zinnia have "hairy" stems like gerbs. Low water in the bucket, and can use the same tablets you use in gerb (sorry name escapes me)

I've used them in foam, but yes short lived 3-4 days.

you can also insert a short piece of wire through the center of the flower down into the hollow part of the stem. Just takes a little bit--about an inch or so--to keep the hollow part from collapsing. . .
