FTD delivers quality?

What I Meant

How did that differ from what you said the first time? I read it 3 times and it says the same thing.

I think we got your mistaken point the first time.

MAS is just a dirty word to you cult members I guess.....

But the reasons are quite transparent.

I apologize bloomz for even mentioning the name MAS. It seems that everytime someone outside the MAS club even dares mentions MAS he or she is criticized.

You are right bloomz, MAS is the greatest pos system in existence today and everyone that reads this board and does not own MAS is extremely stupid for not having one. They spent all their hard earned money on some second rate system and they must lack the intelligence to have seen that MAS is the only system.

I heard that MAS is working on a program to make corsages, drive the delivery trucks and sweep the floors.

Again bloomz, I'm sorry I dared say MAS. I never read the law that states if you don't own a MAS you can never mention it's name.

I would love for someone to compile a list of all the charges that FTD is now implementing and figure out what an order really costs the local florist.
If you go to THIS THREAD there is a link to a Wire Service Calculator that you can download and plug YOUR numbers into to see where your shop comes out.

This message just in from FTD:

Attention All FTD Florists,

Last month, FTD unveiled the industry's most important program to
increase quality levels and protect your customers from poor service.
The FTD Delayed Response Program, which went into effect on Sunday, June
1, 2008, is designed to improve customer satisfaction and make it a
primary focus for all florists. This program is our effort to take
quality to the next level and revolutionize the way we do business.

To recap, the FTD Delayed Response Program is the industry's only
program that addresses late and non-delivered orders. FTD will track
all orders and assess penalties on behalf of the sending florist and the
customer to ensure their orders are either being rejected or delivered
in a timely basis. It is critical to note that any penalties collected
from this program will be credited to the sending florist.

A comprehensive Frequently Asked Questions document about the Delayed
Response Program was sent to you as a GEN message on May 27, 2008. If
you did not receive the GEN message or did not review it, you can go to
www.FTDi.com and click on the "FTD Quality Program" icon for more
information about the program.

In addition, you will receive in your May Clearinghouse Statement a
sample statement of the Delayed Response Program fees for your shop, if
the program was active during May 2008. This statement is a
"what-if-the-program-was-live" review of your orders for the month of
May to show you how your shop performed within the guidelines of the new
program. The statement also shows the penalties your shop would have
received IF this program was in effect today. PLEASE NOTE: you will not
be charged the penalties shown on the attachment as this is a SAMPLE
ONLY.

FTD is proud to take the lead in standing for quality in the floral
industry. If you have any questions on this program or any of FTD's
products and services, please contact Member Services at 800-788-9000.
Thank you for your business and your continued support of FTD.

Let's wait and see. Sometimes even a hypocrite ends up doing something good by accident. It's irritating to see if that happens, even more irritating to see the hypocrite taking credit for it. But again, if anything good comes out of this "quality" program, then it's a good thing.

Today, we REJ'ed two FTD.com orders, FORwarded three OG orders, all within two hours. See, it's working...

The sky is falling!

I like this part - will be very interesting indeed, and will likely answer a bunch of questions.

See... told ya so... they have already calculated how much money this will generate...yes the money goes to the sending shop, but people, please remember THEY came up with this gizmo, and FTD (.coN) WILL BENEFIT from it!

In a word B*L*S*I*....if they want to really lead in something, they could begin by eliminating the deceptive advertising practices in their stable of DOG's .

if we ALL keep doing this, their "plan" is DOOMED to succeed!!:corky

I got my statement today and the last page is the stuff I would have gotten in May had the program been in effect.

I would have gotten 13 $10 issues (within 2 hours) - 5 $20 ones (over 24 hours) and 3 double the cost of the order (rej after delivery date) issues.

For a total of $539

Gonna be interesting to see how this plays out, ain't it? They are obviously automated and done without human intervention I would venture to state.

I'm ready and gotta see who gets fined first - me or Mikey cuz we got a bet on it.

Let's rock.

I just wonder how much FTD.com would have raked in. That sound you hear is them rubbing hands together with glee and anticipation. You know the sound --- like the 17 year plague of locusts.

Oh you know it baby - if I woulda got 500 they likely woulda got well, a bit more than that

let's see if this backfires on them,.

it could happen.....

me thinks we both gotsa win this one....you know, I checked my online statement, and NO "references" to this at all...SOMEONE'S gonna lose big time...BET IS ON!!

JB -

Thanks for posting your numbers. I've been wondering if florists were getting minor dings or major hits in the sample statements.

$539 in cash (not WS dollars) would probably wipe out a chunk of the 'contribution to overhead' on those incomings.

As a result, are you REJ or FOR more orders as an overall percentage of incomings?

Here are my woulda coulda numbers:

5 after 2 hours = $50.00
1 after 24 hours = $20.00

Total = $70.00

I got dinged for 2 $10.00, 1 -$20 and one that came in on Memorial day that I didn't find until the next day - $69.96 for a grand total of $109.96.
I suspended on 5/31 at the end of the day and working on severing relations POS or no POS. I can't put any more money in their pocket and survive.

I wonder why they only showed what fines we would have incurred, but not the fines we would have received?

I didn't get one. I called them to ask. It means I had no violations. Great. $2,600+ incoming.

It's the rest of my statement that makes me ill.
