Hi Elaine, thanks for your interest in our community. What type of education/training do you have?

I see that you operate in your home, do you have a floral cooler there? Do you have a designated workroom with a proper flower processing area? Also, are you a licensed business in Oregon? Do you charge and pay sales tax?

Sorry to be so nosy...thanks in advance for answering!!!

Have you worked in a flower shop? Do you specialize in weddings or something similar, or do you offer full services? TIA

Hi Connie,

Yes, I have free-lanced for a well known and respected Floral Shop in Portland during Valentine's Day and the Holiday season. Which was a fun and a great learning experience.

The past 10 years my career has been event planning and coordinating, in which choosing the flower arrangements to enhance each event was my passion. I am going to blend the two passions that I have floral design and events.

Thank you,
Elaine

Hi Victoria,

I am in the process of obtaining the licenses required in the state of Oregon. Which are registering your company name with the state, county license, Dept. of Nurseryman and of course the Flower Market.

I hope this answers your question.

Thank you,
Elaine

Thank you Elaine for responding. So when you achieve all that you will then be a fully qualified business in the community?

I know the vetting process seems long and drawn out but it is necessary to protect the professional integrity of the community.
