I'm wondering if anybody else got a strange message from the three listed in the heading. All of the messages say ROFLMAO i can't stop laughing at this pic of you and then it is followed by a link. There are actually two messages from Joe, identical. I followed one of them but it was in some different language. Do you think I've been hacked?

The links "from" Heather and Joe are the same, this is it ~ http://t.co/grT6ZG9 ppfr.it/434

The link from Annette is ~http://t.co/grT6ZG9 ppfr.it/434

Just curious if anybody else got these. I'll message Joe, Heather, and Annette on facebook. Hope that wasn't hacked.

I planned to just ignore these, Joe and Heather were from Monday afternoon and Annette 17 hrs ago. :dunno:

virus/hacked... got one from Ed Moore Florist... Heather Tuckey had already posted she had been hacked... be vigilant out there.....

Also, anytime you get a message that sounds like "Is this a (funny / naked / awkward) pic of you?" just ignore it - or at the very least confirm with the sender before opening. Playing off a person's self-interest is the best way to get a user to click on a spammy / infected link, whether in Twitter, FB, email, whatever.

Well dummy me, I'm sorry everybody. It did not occur to me that was the hack, still too naive I guess. I just copied and pasted them. Thank you Cathy!

Interesting, I had posted on Twitter about the viagra being good for flowers, I wonder if that is how targets get chosen.

Joe did confirm that he had been hacked and also said don't open it, by that I assume per Cathy's post, don't click on the link. I couldn't get an answer back from Annette through facebook so I called her store and left a message.

Again, I'm sorry for putting live links in there, I hadn't had any sleep. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I tried to find out from them if they use twitter on their phones and or on desktop. They haven't responded but I was wonderin if the hack has anything to do with being loged in all the time on your phones and as these people drive around with their phones on that their phones are being scanned somehow and giving the access to the scanners?

I personally recomend refraining from allowing your portable devices to continue to stay loged in all the time. Especially since most portable devices can be constantly broadcasting or running in the background getting up to date information. Besides can you imagine if you lost your portable device and someone had access to your emails, twitter and facebook? I also recomend always having passwords on to access your phones. Luckly I clicked on the links with my Ipad so nothing happened but if I did this on my droid phone or desktop computer things could of been bad.

When posting URLS be very carefully about this. Glad Cathy removed the links.
