Order Gatherer Websites

order gatherers and WS free?

Upon opening my shop in a couple of months, I will not be a member of any wire service, will I have to worry about order gatherers ordering on my website or calling my shop with orders? thank you. angela

I highly doubt it - the benefit of dOG's sending through the WS is the rebates and percentages they earn on the orders that are processed with the WS. There would be no benefit to their ordering directly with you, other than getting their order delivered - and chances are there is someone else in your area who is a ws member who will accept their order. Although, I think I remember someone posting about 800flowers or tf sending direct and using their credit card in cases where they don't have coverage.

Roses and Blooms

They are a brick and mortar store on E 52nd St in Manhattan - I have been there to work with them!

CHR,
Some of the images are thiers, some teleflora, some FTD, some borrowed, some florist network... you name it a potpourri.

Has this one been discussed? They even show a store front in their about us but certainly are marketing to the unknowing consumer.

Is Pfn In Meltdown

During the month of May our shop handled several thousand dollars worth of orders from PFN (Preferred Florist Network). When the check did not arrive on the expected date we, attempted to contact the payments department. No one answered and no one returned the message.

Early this week, I agressively attempted to contact any manager at PFN and was told that only order takers were available. Yesterday after receiving 3 orders from PFN, I called and left a message for the supervisior that I would no longer fill their orders until I was contacted by management.

The orders have stopped and no phone calls have been received.

It appears that they are continuing to take orders collecting the money and sending the orders to florists who have no chance of ever getting paid.

If this is not the situation, I encourage PFN management to respond to their florists immediately.

AAAflowermart ??

LA based florist? Mylocalflowershop.com is a Sunflower site, with an extratouch SSL cert...

Who IS data

Showing up as a "national account" on YP.com for my zips.

Side note: YP.com called yesterday... I had a round-a-bout with the caller. He actually is aware of the national advertiser issue, and has been to FloristDetective.com looking around. He has some gig (I did not let him tell me how much $$) where I can gain the top spot and in his words "Knock FTD.com out of the local listing"... He's supposed to call back Monday (when I have time to play) ;)

Atyourlocalflorist.com ??
Anyone know anything about this site? I did a search, but didn't find any info. Sent me what I thought was a skimmed TF order, and their explanation was that they gave their repeat customer a discount.

Newbie question

Hello, new to the board and new to the industry :)

I have read many of these pages, and am gathering that most of you do not accept orders from OG's? I suspected that something was fishy about From You Flowers and Kay's Flowers... these are both OG's, correct?

Just trying to understand all of this stuff.
