Ryan, Could we set up a small fund to be used for flowers, for members of this chat board......I feel as though each one of us is family!!!.....yeh we don't always agree but then that's what makes a great family!!!!

If each member were to donate, say $5.00? to a gift fund and we nominate say Mikey and or Luc as administrators, then whan one of the members gets sick, we as a group could send small a bouquet. I see we have close to 100 members signed up to this board so a small donation from each would last a long time.......IF WE ALL STAY HEALTHY!!!!

Just an idea, from the #1 you know what.

John,

It's a great idea ... I'm just not sure how it would flesh out. If enough people are serious about the idea, and post their support here then we'll make it happen.

Let me know, folks!

Ryan

Count me in !

Sounds like an AWEsome idea....

Happy New Year to ya'll

A very nice idea...I'm so happy to be part of such a large family. :)

#1 idea! count me in...........

Count my five in....
MaybeRyan you can send a mass mailer to all people who are on this board and ask for the donation.
Luc

Count me in as well!

Friends are, after all, the family you get to pick.:D

Thanks sharing the idea, BBJ.

Ryan...CAN YOU, or I...

clear credit cards to this end??
Any of us can provide a CC account to hold such funds, take $5.00 a month each, and when a florist family member of ANY denomination passes on, then we can just post the information, and ALL contribute to sending sympathy flowers!!
Would THIS be an easy solution??
Mike

By the way, long have I waited for this....suggested this idea a long time ago, with little interest.
I thank you all, it's IMPORTANT that we treat ANY and ALL long standing florist family members with great respect, and sadness when they leave us....

The process is simple enough - Open a PayPal account especially for these funds. I just want to be sure we'll have enough interested people to make this fly. If we do, I'll take care of the rest :)

count me in too....i am very happy to be a part of this special family.....true friends are the ones that you can count on....they give it to you straight...they support you when you are down and i feel that connection here....happy new year to all and lets keep it together....we have a great thing going here and we should build on it.....

Sonny, Don't think we can build a big enough slush fund here............toooooo bad though!!!

They were under financed from the start, and things just mushroomed from there!:(

Sort of like teaching a kid to swim by tying a rock around is neck and pushing him in. Serves the NHL right by letting the small market teams struggle , the only way to save half the teams in the league is revenue sharing or a salary cap with really prohibitive fines for going over it. Ironic that the Habs pay more in taxes than all the Americans teams combined . Imagine Baseball letting the Yankees sink to the bottom with out helping its most storied franchise back up . Also hasen't helped that a lot of the teams in finicial trouble have all built new multi million stadiums and can't get enough non hockey revenue to pay for them , only reason Toronto isn't in the same boat is the Rapters.
