I think you misunderstood the question Ryan.....The way I read it is this way.

Doesn't it cost the 800TFTD's MORE MONEY if we don't click than if we do click?

Why not to click on OG AdSense ads:
- it's not ethical to be clicking on ads where you have no intention of purchasing, especially a competitor (for the purpose of costing them $$$)
- it's against the AdSense guidelines to encourage people to click on AdSense ads for the purpose of generating revenue
- if we all started clicking like mad, we would actually lower their bids by improving their quality score

Yes, it does help....so what you are saying (and not in this order) is that the advertiser doesn't pay just because their ad is showing up in a website on a screen...you actually have to "click" the ad before they are charged.

I usually go out to 800flowers website a couple times a week to check their stock $$ and see what is on their front page. So, what you are saying, is that going to their site through a click ad would potentially be unethical because it costs them money with no potential for revenue.
