Funeral Pics

That is a beautiful spray Joan. I like that.

Irony...

We're working on our "studio" to take photos of these large pieces. Quite a challenge, because we want a nice neutral background, and it has to be BIG to handle our 6 & 7 ft standing sprays. Building an online gallery...just starting so nothing to show yet.

Will post some pics when we get this done.

Here are a few photos of a funeral to be delivered tomorrow afternoon. I especially like the 'birdbath ' arrangement.
Nice to be kinda busy today.

Those pillows are beautiful, Palms.
Do you display them on an easel?
Wire or wood?

We do not pillows here - at least in Colorado.
In the States, funeral tributes can be somewhat different in different parts of the country.

I love funeral work too.
Not so crazy about basic upright sprays.
Like upright forms, like crosses, hearts, and wreaths

Thanks Cherrie, unfortunately it is not common practice to display funeral pieces on easels over here although i wish it was as i think it really does make more of the flowers.

The funeral directors just tend to lean them on the coffin in the hearse and then lay them flat when they are on the grave.

Thanks for your comments Cherrie, thats really kind.

its interesting to see everyone's style of sympathy work-

I have also noticed that a lot of you do half caskets, in our area we do double saddle large casket sprays. We rarely get requests for a half size casket spray-

anyway.....of course I had to post a video instead of picture LOL-

We just delivered this job yesterday-

Adam,
I love your videos also.
What kind of camera do your use?
I've been dinking around with videos on my iPhone.

I love doing full caskets. We only get a request for one when the casket is closed which is hardly ever. People around this city like to view the deceased I guess!
