Order Gatherer Websites

I am still waiting for the financial department of the florist to call and tell me why they would tell me to do flowers and chocolates and then want all the money back when I did just that....Well I do no more orders for them anyway...
Lori, that's exactly why we quit filling for all OGs years ago.

We followed every procedure, got authorizations for substitutions or told them to find someone else. They'd OK the subs (necessary because what they sold wasn't in season, or in one case, was in a TF holiday product that hadn't even been shipped to stores yet.)

In each case, the customer thought they were purchasing from a real local shop in our town and was never contacted about substitution.

In each case, the OG told us they were cancelling the order after it was delivered.

Our work, our reputation, our money and time down the drain because the OGs deceived the buyers.

After many emails back and forth with senior WS management, I figured the only way to deal with this was to improve our web presence, aggressively compete for online orders and refuse all OGs.

I only wish we'd taken that route sooner.

New Order Gatherer and False Listing

This one has made it into our local phone book. I googled the number and came up with a "yellowbot" spot on it. Only the 800 number was shown but listed as Bangor, Maine florist with other legit listings.
So I googled The Flower Patch, Bangor ME and got a listing for The Flower Patch, Rt 1, Winterport, ME again with only an 800 #. Did have a link to a site so here it is........out of Utah..

Not a local Florist.......This one is going to our Attorney General on Monday.

Maybe a little more info...

Rhonda before you send the letter check with those who might know Flowerpatch in UT and verify they in your book. I have met them and was not aware that they were into this type of trolling. They were a top 50 TF before getting MAS and they did not have a computer system before that. I don't think they are the right flower patch. I googled flower patch in maine and got this

I made a post a few weeks ago in a different thread about this site: LINK

I found this one listed while searching local florist http://www.goflorist.com/AboutUs.asp
Now I remember...thanks to a friend jogging the C-R-S out of my noggin...

This is the same folks behind 11flowers.com among other deceptive order gathering sites.

He called me once (crying, no...really crying [maybe]) about his inclusion on Floristdetective.com and how it was messing up his bankruptcy filing...

Due to the increased costs needed to secure and transfer orders, there is an additional relay fee that has been added into the net cost of the products on our website and will be deducted from the product amount to offset these additional costs. This fee will in no way affect the quality, size or quantity of the item you purchase. We apologize for the need to deduct this fee but your order will still be delivered as pictured on our website and handled with professional care.

The above comes from the goflorist about us page. Seems they have a service charge of $13.99 and also a relay fee. My they must get quite the windfall from their poor trusting customers. Their about us page is very very interesting.

And this 800 number scheister is no longer a valid number.

Florale.ca? Is it an F.T.D. site?

Just curious.

Doug
Yes, it's an FTD hosted site. As are these mirrors:
torontoflorale.com
floralemontreal.com
vancouverflorale.ca
canadaflorale.ca
floralelaval.ca
floralequebec.ca

Address: 1271 De Honfleur St, Boucherville, QC J4B 8G4

Based on Google Maps satellite view, it's a house.

Think it's a coincidence that someone in Boucherville named Franco Boemio (the registered owner of the sites) is trying to sell what appears to be the same house?

Nice pad - Order Gathering been berry berry good for Franco.

Coincidence no. First you get the sites, then you get the power, then you get the woman, then you get the tres, tres grand chateau. Just moving on up

I fought with everything I had to get this practice stopped. Blatently ripping off customers should never be allowed. I got nowhere. I finally gave up. Maybe the new quality program should address stuff like this?
