We all call ourselves Americans.
We all work hard, pay taxes and support this country.

We watch everyday as our system erodes into oblivion creating hardships beyond what many of us expected to ever see in our lifetimes.

The symbol of our democracy is our flag.
Many a life has been lost defending everything that our flag represents.

Our children are educated about our forefathers, our heritage, our sacrifices since America was born. They are taught to respect what our flag represents.

In short, as your answers to the poll are confidential:

Should the American people allow a candidate for the Presidency of The United States to refuse to salute our symbol of freedom and democracy thus changing the face of America forever ?

All I ask is that you respond to the poll honestly
and think about " Mike the Marine ", " Sam the Seal ", " Nancy the Nurse ", etc..........., that may give their life today for that very symbol of America, before you submit.

Thanks

If they won't salute our flag then their true colors are showing and they are NOT for America! It's as simple as that.

Kevin, I got into a a conversation with a good friend over the very same question the other day..he laughed at me and said it was not true anymore than he was 'seen on the grassy kol when KENNEDY WAS SHOT" .
I thought I was the only one that thought this was important enough to ask...I find it interesting that this issue is "ok" with many Americans....this puzzles me...and it concerns me greatly. Without sounding like a lunatic...why is this not important to the American public...if we vote for him what are we doing and saying...I am still at a loss on this issue AND worried that we might be bringing in a wolf in sheeps clothing...and yes I know many of our FC's think he is the next coming of Christ so if you respond can you just keep it to "why is it not important to have a President that salutes and respects the American Flag which is the symbol of our Country....all the other stuff is rhetoric from what we are fed from the news media...I reall want to know why my thinking or concern is off base..if in fact it is

JUst out of curiosity which candidate are you reffering to?

I have watched and read the things that get reported here in the uk about the elections and i find it very interesting but as im not american what i think doesnt matter.

Sher, it's NOT ok. People are slowly being trained, taught, coerced into thinking it's "OK" to not support your own country. That it's perfectly acceptable...when in actuality it's not. Our country is a GREAT country, not perfect but GREAT. WE can move to wherever we'd like within our country, we can get a job wherever we'd like in our country, we can even put our children in schools of our choosing.
When people choose to not salute our flag or stand for the National Anthem, it is a form of disrespect to their country and to the men/women who served protecting it-be it military or civil service(fire, police, etc.)
So YES, it is a big deal when the leader of our country won't even salute his own country's flag.

Nope he's not....

Now I am not a political genius, nor do I follow politics much....but my feeling is if you are not proud enough of our contry to stand up and salute the flag or say the pledge of allegence sp? or sing the national anthem, what right do you have of running for any type of office much less the office of the president...

I believe that life as we know it will be changed of Obama gets in for sure...I am scared of this, I do not like the man for this one simple reason, he does not belong there if he does not love his country, period...

This is the only opinion I have of the election as I said before I am not big on following politics and i do not have the neccesary wits to have any kind of tit for tat battle about the election, but I do know that I think Obama is a turd for not respecting the flag and I think if he gets in he is an assasination waiting to happen...Just my opinion on one person..

Mikey, kidding?? Kidding on what..that the potential POTUS does not salute our flag? When on the subject of Mr. O...then yes, he has been caught time & time again not saluting the flag. It's not a joke, it's not some grand scheme, it's a simple disregard to salute our flag...no one brings it up...it just oddly gets talked over or change of subject. But it's true and there is no arguement about it...I'm not that blind.

B.O.-What do you really know?

Those that are leaning toward B.O., stop and think, what do you REALLY know about the guy.....Birth records sealed, college records sealed, etc.

Please do some research and only vote for the person that is close to your ideas. Charisma is not a factor that should enter into your decision.

Didn't this happen once? and wasn't it just a picture? (he could have raised his hand nanoseconds after the picture was taken) I saw the picture, shouldn't all the others be facing the flag?
I don't think one picture should throw your votes into the wind. JMO.

No it didn't happen once and no ti wasn't just a picture. There is actual video showing his refusal to place his hand over his heart for the National Anthem or show respect for the flag. It's not some conspiracy against Mr. O..it's HIM!! He's showing everyone small signs of his true belief. To ignore such things as that is to ignore the bigger picture. all it takes is a bit fo research to find out the many times he's done this. It's not that hard!

Please be careful what you vote for...

'Show respect' - what exactly do you mean by that? Is the only way to show respect putting your hand over your heart - it's a concept I don't understand not being American. Is standing not a sign of respect? Is not singing your anthem a show of disrespect?

I know I'm likely going to get labelled a liberal or a socialist by some for the comment but I don't understand how putting your hand over your heart makes you more or less patriotic than another. It's not what's on your heart that matters, but what's in you.
