Here's a wedding from yesterday. The bride changed her mind several times on the direction of the flowers but finally settled on this. She had really wanted a spring blossoming branch for the centerpieces, but obviously we couldn't do that in mid July. I think the combination of birch branches and oncidiums achieved a similar look. I would have liked to see more oncidiums in the vases, but the budget is the budget. It was at a private residence on one of the many lakes in our area and they had some nice northwoodsy touches like a big log slice as the cake stand and little log slices as the place card holders. It was sweltering hot....hopefully they didn't melt!

July 16th wedding

These are some of the photos from our Birch Tree Wedding. The photographer will have better pix online in a few weeks. It was really a lot of work but turned out pretty awesome. Folks attending from around here were amazed. And I'm happy to say I was the only local vendor !!! Thank goodness for my husband & bro-in-law .

I did my nephew's wedding this past weekend. It was 3 1/2 hours away so I hauled all the flowers there. I have one pic of my "work station" in the hotel bathroom! Some of the receptions flowers I did on site. I could not squeezed on more thing in my vehicle after loading it up for the trip. There's one of my 13 year old daughter putting batteries in the battery operated candles-she was my assistant for the weekend and a huge help! A LOT OF WORK but well worth it. it was a beautiful wedding!
