Which liquid diet are you on? I'm on the New Direction program (doctor supervised). Third time on it. First time lost 20 pounds...took a break...went back, lost 40 pounds...took a break, had a baby, tried to do it myself... now I'm back!
This, as you know is a diet for the serious & desperate! I really like it though. Immediate results & lots of energy!
Here's a link to my diet program...
www.mdbethin.com I would recommend the program to anyone who is serious about losing weight. I would not, however, call it desperate. I truly believe if you can "jump start" the weight loss and lose a lot of weight quickly, it gives you more incentive to continue to lose the pounds. When you see those pounds come off so quickly, it encourages you to go further and obtain your goal. I have tried every weight loss program out there. Just wish I had found this one first. The 6 week program was 4 shakes or soup per day, plus a really yummy snack bar. Dam* how I look forward to those snack bars! Lots of water, which I love anyway, and a list of "free" foods. Fortunately, I don't drink alcohol...no problem with that one. I also attend a lot of social functions...I am a member of every group under the sun, but I just take my shake or eat the salad, chicken and veggies...and not a lot. My calorie intake at this point is 1,000 daily. On the 6 week program it was 800. You really, really have to remember that you will always be attending this party, or this function, or some other event where others will be indulging in food that is off limits for you. If you can't resist the food at these events, just "sample" small tastings, and be sure to eat before you attend. BTW-this is really true...if you think you're hungry-drink a glass of water...usually you're dehydrated and NOT really hungry. Try the water first before eating.
Now this is funny...I asked the Doc, "What the H is in those shakes?" I suddenly have this sexual drive that is out of control! That started the very first week, not after I lost weight. The Doc said she has only had one other patient say the same thing...and that was a man whose wife was on the same diet. My libido is off the charts! I thought it might have something to do with menopause, but at age 53, I am still getting my "friend" (I like to call it, "NOT MY FRIEND!!!") every 28 days. Good God! Make my "friend" disappear! My Doc claims it is very "healthy" for a woman my age to still menstruate, but I am at my wits end! Just the very thought of getting pregnant at my age is totally alarming! Side Note: Nothing to worry about with that possibility at the moment! Single and quite possibly a born again virgin! My daughter thinks it would be fun to be pregnant together! WTF? I usually adore her sense of humor, but that just ain't funny!
Please...please...take my best advice...do it for YOU! An absolute must...pack up those clothes when you lose a size! It really works!
